Browser Compatibility & Display Issues

Browser compatibility at a glance, including Safari drag-and-drop limitations, and what to do when something looks broken.

Browser Compatibility (Quick Guide)

  • Best supported: Chrome (recommended), Firefox, Edge
  • Limited support: Safari 15+ (general viewing and most edits are supported, but drag-and-drop routine reordering is a known limitation)
  • Not supported: Internet Explorer

"Drag-and-drop isn't working"

  • Make sure you're not on a touch-screen device using touch (drag-and-drop on touch is limited)
  • If you're using Safari, switch to Chrome, Firefox, or Edge (known issue)
  • Check that an optimized order isn't currently being shown (drag is disabled on the configured side while the optimizer has produced a different result β€” click Save Updates or Reset to clear that state)
  • Try refreshing the page (Cmd/Ctrl+R)
  • Try a different browser to isolate

"The page looks broken or fonts are weird"

Usually your browser is hanging onto an old copy of the page. A hard refresh forces it to grab the latest version:

  • Mac: Cmd+Shift+R
  • Windows/Linux: Ctrl+Shift+R

If that still doesn't help, try a private/incognito window to rule out browser extensions interfering.

"I see an error message"

If a red error message pops up on screen or appears as a banner across the top, take a screenshot and email support@showsort.com with the screenshot and a quick description of what you were doing. We can usually pinpoint the issue quickly from that.

"The site is slow"

Optimization is doing real work in the background but should still feel responsive. If the page feels sluggish even when optimization isn't running, it's usually:

  • A very large show (200+ routines) β€” give it a moment to settle
  • A browser extension interfering (try incognito)
  • A weak network connection

If none of those seem to fit, reach out to us and we'll help you track it down.
